We've been lucky enough to have had an extremely mild winter here in south-east England, the sun shone for all of Christmas Day and the rainy days have been few and far between. All the same though, I am looking forward to the warmer Spring and Summer months that are in store for us all.
This may seem all little early to be posting, as I'm sure there'll be many cold and dreary days to come before it even gets to above ten degrees again. Either way, I have put together a few outfits I'll be wearing in the coming months, rain or shine (or frost).
Camel Coats & Turtle Necks
I've had this H&M coat for years, I've been looking to update it but I'm yet to find a style I like in the same camel colour, so this one's staying for now. I've also been obsessed with wearing this chunky turtle neck jumper dress (I say jumper dress, but it's a little on the short side) over a black body con skirt/dress with tights. I find it so easy to layer-up and then un-layer with this look, the air-con at college seems has a mind of it's own, so I'm drawn to pieces I can easily take off/put on between classes.

For the next week I am here in Guernsey, visiting my best friend Steph and her family. I thought it would be a fun idea to film and blog my outfits for every day of the trip.
I couldn't decide what to name this collection of videos, Steph suggested something that incorporates the word 'rock' as she's nicknamed her home island 'the rock' and so, 'What I Wore On The Rock' has been created.

After taking several weeks away from blogging to study for exams, I decided to return with not only a written post but also a video.
Since Kendall Jenner became a model three years ago I've taken an interest in her and often followed her and her sister Kylies projects and other things they get up to. I've always been a fan of Kendall's style and the diversity of it, from the laid back demin shorts and tank top looks she's seen wearing in Keeping Up With The Kardashians at Bruces Miami beach house, to her edgy all black looks worn at London Fashion Week to her sophisticated glamorous gowns and dresses for the red carpet. She can pull anything off.
I often find myself drawing inspiration from what she wears and how she wears it. She's a tall girl (at 5ft10"/178mm she stands an inch taller than myself) and she's not ashamed of it and often embraces it, being seen out in heels more often than not.
Below I have put together four looks inspired by four of Kendalls and have created a lookbook, published on YouTube to showcase each outfit.

An outfit inspired by KMs Instagram for my first day back to college.
Today marks my first day back at college and two very important thoughts passed through my head when I woke up this morning, the first being “myexams start in three weeks” and the second (and maybe less important) “I have nothing to wear!”
And whilst sitting round and procrastinating on my phone (my favourite hobby) I found myself scrolling back through Kylie Minogue’s instagram posts and found a photo she posted several weeks ago whilst in Sydney.
I instantly fell back in love with this outfit, the houndstooth mini skirt and chain belt combo is a modern twist on a classic print and texture and appears so effortlessly chic on Kylie.
And with this photo for inspiration I began to dig through my seemingly bottomless wardrobe to pull my own houndstooth-chain belt combination together.

Sarah Jessica Parker releases her debut shoe collection with handbags and a trench named “Manhattan” to match!
Sarah Jessica Parker has released her debut shoe collection in New York today in partnership with Nordstrom. I have been so excited for the launch of this collection because, not only do I love the shoes, I love the story and campaign behind them as well.

Today was the first day I've worn a white shirt, in what feels like forever, but it’s only been a mere 8 months since I left high school, where a white button down shirt was an everyday occurrence as part of our uniform. And, I feel as if this very “thrilling” and sentimental moment needs to documented on the internet.

Effie joins me for a‘thoughtful stare of out the window’pose and a cup of tea after college. |
Whilst looking for more “colourful” outfit inspiration in video form on YouTube, I found a video by one of my favourite YouTubers, Jenn Im (youtube hanger: clothesencounters). I adore her videos for how short yet effective and to the point
they are. Jenn herself has her own style and isn't shy of mixing colours and/or textures and reinterpreting current trends. (I also can’t think of anyone else’s wardrobe I envy more than I envy hers.) The video that inspired my outfit for today is simply based around styling a white top (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVu5lzYzJmo&list=UUgWfS_47YPVbKx5EK4FLm4A) she takes five white tops and creates totally different looks and different feels with each outfit. This inspired me to find my own white to serve as a base to some many looks I wanted to create.
