"WOMEN: New Portraits is a continuation of a project that Annie Leibovitz began over fifteen years ago. The new portraits unveiled in London reflect the changes in the roles of women today and feature women of outstanding achievement including artists, musicians, CEOs, politicians, writers and philanthropists."

This exhibition is easily one of my favourite exhibitions I've ever been to - despite it being in a large room in the old power station, it still had a very intimate feeling. Being enclosed by three screens displaying slide shows of photographs and a free standing wall displaying more photographs means most of the exhibition is kept within those four screens. It's a relaxed and easy way of viewing and enables the entire exhibition to be viewed in about forty five minutes.
It was refreshing and inspiring to see all the incredible women who have been photographed by Leibovitz over the past half century, recognising those I am familiar with and learning about the achievements of those I did not know of prior to the exhibition.
There's a little reading room tucked away to the side of the exhibition with not only Annie's books but also books featuring the work of other famous photographers of the 20th century.
Women: New Portraits by Annie Leibovitz is currently on display in Wapping Hydraulic Power Station, (E1W 3SL) until 7 February before it continues its world tour.
