TOP 10 BEST DRESSED MET GALA 2015

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

Whilst I'm still trying to make my mind up over SJP's hat  and Anne Hathaway's golden hood, I thought I would put together a list of my top ten favourite looks from last night's Met Gala.

Gigi Hadid in Diana von Furstenberg - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Atelier Versace and Anita Ko jewelry

I've been following model Gigi for a little over a year now and she seems like a very genuine and beautiful girl, she's already landed some big campaigns in the past few months and I know she has incredible career ahead of her as a part of the next generation of supermodels. I'm not usually a fan of red dresses on red carpets but I fell head of heels for Gigis DVF gown. Tied with Gigi in the top spot of my best dressed list is RHW, she looked out of this world in her Versace gown.

 Lily Aldridge in Carolina Herrera

Lily Aldridge looked so elegant in Herrara. I loved the neck line and button detailing down the back of this dress and her little fish clutch most definitely added a 'certain something' to her look.

 Alexa Chung in Erdem

Through the power of the internet I was able to watch Alexa Chung arrive at the Met Gala via her phone through her Periscope broadcast, it was short and sweet but definitely a more fun element to my night spent staying up late to see all the red carpet looks.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

This dress speaks for itself. I love everything about it, the print, cut outs, embellishments, absolutely everything and J Law looked incredible in it.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka - Emily Blunt in Prada

Okay, forget Beyonce and Jay-Z - Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are my power couple. I have adored NPH since his How I Met Your Mother days but I wasn't really aware of David until he made his Broadway come back this spring in It Shoulda Been You directed by David Hyde Pierce. David stars alongside one of my all-time favourite human beings Sierra Boggess in the show and it's been so fun watching them both in Sierra's backstage vlog for Broadway.com, Going Bridal. (You have to watch these vlogs if you're in need of a laugh because this cast have the best time ever and don't take life too seriously at all!)
I was so happy to see them both attending the Met Gala and they looked so good in their matching tuxs. I also loved Emily Blunt in Prada and I think its one of the most underrated looks of the evening. It's elegant, and beautiful and fits the theme.

Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney - Zendaya in Fausto Puglisi

These two looks are unique is their own right, I love the cut out on Cara's jumpsuit and the silhouette of Zendayas dress. These are both powerful looks which were executed perfectly.

Emily Ratajkowski in Topshop

I immediately fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it on Twitter. The fit, the cut out, the embellished pattern, just everything about it is beautiful, Topshop have out done themselves again.
