We've been lucky enough to have had an extremely mild winter here in south-east England, the sun shone for all of Christmas Day and the rainy days have been few and far between. All the same though, I am looking forward to the warmer Spring and Summer months that are in store for us all.
This may seem all little early to be posting, as I'm sure there'll be many cold and dreary days to come before it even gets to above ten degrees again. Either way, I have put together a few outfits I'll be wearing in the coming months, rain or shine (or frost).
Camel Coats & Turtle Necks
I've had this H&M coat for years, I've been looking to update it but I'm yet to find a style I like in the same camel colour, so this one's staying for now. I've also been obsessed with wearing this chunky turtle neck jumper dress (I say jumper dress, but it's a little on the short side) over a black body con skirt/dress with tights. I find it so easy to layer-up and then un-layer with this look, the air-con at college seems has a mind of it's own, so I'm drawn to pieces I can easily take off/put on between classes.
One for the rain
I picked this vintage mackintosh up at a car boot a few years ago, but I've only been brave enough to wear it recently. It's an awkwardly long length and I always get the "you look like a detective today" comment whenever I wear it. But I'm still madly in love with it, the masculine elements of it in the shoulders are somehow balanced out by the way the coat seems to flow independently as I walk around. I also love wearing men's shirts tucked into a pencil skirt and again, I love the idea experimenting with masculinity and femininity within outfits.
The Jumper of the (my) Season
Yes, I know it's another turtle neck. But I have been obsessed with this off-burgundy jumper/top/not-exactly-sure-how-to-define-it-thing, ever since I picked it up in New Look late last year. I must confess that this outfit lacks any element of warmth for winter, but it's there for when those warmer days do come. I think I was sub-consciously inspired by the old Hollywood era whilst picking out this skirt, there's something I love about the material and fit of it.

A big thank you to my dear friend Charlotte who helped me out by taking all these photos, you can read her blog here.
I hope these looks has inspired your wardrobe during this awkward phase the British weather annually goes through.
Don't hesitate to comment what you'll be wearing.
Thank you for reading.
